Purchasing Assistant

 

Fameccanica North America is growing! We are seeking a full-time Purchasing Assistant to join our business.  We are located in West Chester, OH and are the world’s leading equipment supplier for the hygienic disposables industry.  Due to our growth, we recognize the need to continue to provide strong support for both our business and our employees.

Fameccanica North America (FNA) designs and supplies machines used by major consumer goods companies for the production of disposable products, such as diapers and sanitary napkins, along with other sophisticated equipment used for detergent packing and paper processing.

The responsibilities of the Purchasing Assistant include, but are not limited to:

• Entering material codes and milestone dates in SAP project builder
• Following up on purchase orders via phone or email
• Providing monthly reporting of vendor ratings
• Maintaining material master and bill of materials (BOM) data structure
• Creating workflows to set up material codes and vendors within SAP
• Providing support to other members of the department and participating in special projects, as needed.

Qualified candidates should have:

• 1-3 years of applicable purchasing or logistics experience
• A bachelors degree in a related field is preferred
• Experience with SAP is a plus.
