This is skilled physical work in combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires, emergency medical care, and in the operation and maintenance of division equipment, apparatus, and quarters. To establish an Eligibility List for the classification of Firefighter-EMT, the City of Middletown will be accepting applications and will conduct an open competitive examination. Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent supplemented by courses in fire science technology or equivalent experience or training; possession of a valid Ohio Driver’s License. Applicants must provide a copy of current Ohio Firefighter and EMT Certifications at time of application or provide proof of enrollment in a Firefighter and EMT program at time of application. Recruitment and selection process to include written examination, physical ability test, interview, polygraph, medical exam, and drug test. The written examination will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2019.
