Direct Support Professional

Brookside Extended Care is a 92 bed ICF/IID facility that is licensed through the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities and receives oversight from the Ohio Department of Health. Brookside currently has full-time and part-time positions available on 1st shift (6:30am to 2:45 pm) 2nd shift (2:30pm to 10:45pm or 6:30pm – 10:45pm) and 3rd shift (10:30pm-9am or 10:30pm – 6:45am).  Apply today and make a difference in the lives of the individuals we serve.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Providing personal care (assisting residents with bathing and toileting)
• Lifting and transferring of residents
• Assisting residents with mealtime and oral care
• Providing programs that will help our residents become more independent
• Documenting services and providing input to the individual’s team

 

Job Requirements:
•Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
•High School Diploma or GED
•Experience working with individuals with disabilities or experience working in a healthcare setting preferred
•Excellent work history
•Positive attitude and the ability to work with others as a team
Must pass a background check and Drug test
