Are you searching for a full-time position that will allow you to put your computer, design and customer service skills to use? In this position, you would use your creative/computer talents and design skills to collaborate with customers to design and sell them their dream kitchen and bathroom projects.  Our Designers interact with customers by: welcoming them to the showroom; assessing their kitchen and/or bath project needs; working with them to develop room designs and assist with purchasing recommendations.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Operates computer-aided drafting (CAD) equipment, drafting and/or 20/20 software to produce designs, working drawings, charts, forms, and records
  • Draws rough and detailed scale plans based on preliminary concepts, sketches, calculations, specification sheets, and other data.
  • Lays out and plans interior room arrangements using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and 20/20 software. Strong space planning and spatial skills.
  • Builds trust and educates customers
  • Identifies customer needs and wants and can effectively evaluate, measure and recommend kitchen / bath project options, demonstrating effective selling techniques (ability to sell ideas, products, and services while negotiating and closing the sale).
  • Attend sales/training meetings
  • Service customers in the showroom, represent the company at home shows and on an occasional basis make in-home visits.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to organize and maintain files and records in accordance with company standards. Produces timely documentation of services rendered.  Submits project designs and contract documentation on a timely basis
  • Manages customer accounts. Build and maintain contacts and customer referrals. Updates customers on special events, new product and/or project progress and schedules appointments and follow-up.
  • Ability to complete work in a timely fashion and collaboratively with others
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and ability to provide own transportation to and from events and on occasion a customer’s home.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Educational Qualifications:

  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Degree in creative arts or Interior Design, a plus
  • Minimum 2 years of Sales with a proven track record of success
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent oral communication skills
  • Business professional appearance
  • Ability to work independently and see a wide range of detailed work through to completion
  • May need to pass a drug and background check

 

Job Requirements
