Zoning & Property Maintenance Inspector

The City of Springdale Building Department is accepting applications for the position of Zoning & Property Maintenance Inspector.

The pay range for this position is $23.98 - $33.74 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package and state pension.

Candidates for the position must:
• Be at least 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and have earned a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Be able to understand and interpret the City’s property maintenance and zoning codes
• Be able to read and interpret property information, including plot plans
• Be able to speak and write effectively and competently use computers, software, and databases.

The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are preferred, but not required:
• State certification as a Residential Building Inspector.
• Knowledge of construction practices; of zoning and subdivision principles and practices; of local regulations, codes, and ordinances; of land use and development principles and practices; and of inspection techniques.
