Job Title:  Welding & Repair Technician
Division:  Repairs & Maintenance
Location:  Poseyville, IN
Reports To:  Repairs & Maintenance Operations Manager

Weld, fabricate, and repair a wide variety of metal structures from oral directions, sketches, or drawings. Must be able to inspect own finished welds to meet company standards.

Our ideal candidate will

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and complete standard records
• Fabricate and repair a wide variety of metal structures and equipment
• Perform basic inspection of project and determine what repairs are needed
• Participate in all requested job-related training and development, as well as taking an active interest in improving skills with other training programs
• Completes all reports and forms for service operations in a timely and accurate manner
• Ensure manager is aware of any issues which can impact customer satisfaction or billing
• Maintain good condition and cleanliness of company vehicles, tools, and equipment including the return of tools to storage areas
• Ensure all company values are adhered to and promoted through leading by example and creating an environment of trust and teamwork
• Follow all company and common sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective equipment
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
• Operate service truck locally (25 mile radius) which includes, but is not limited to: arc welding, torch cutting, and routine repairs & maintenance

Desired Qualifications

• Certified welders are preferred but not required
• Welding experience (Arc, Tig, Mig) required
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops (fork-lifts, hydraulic lifts, service truck, etc)
• Ability to lift 50 pounds as required without assistance
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace
• Strong organizational skills
