Description
Handles all aspects of production, shipping, circulation, and quality control for TBT4. Up to 200000 TBT4 cartridges may be produced per year. Runs and troubleshoots systems used for production, maintains statistics, and creates detailed reports. Communicates with NLS to provide updated address information for patrons.
TBT4 is a bimonthly audio catalog of new audio and braille books. The catalog is downloaded onto flash drives and mailed to patrons of the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled throughout the United States. Tasks include downloading, applying labels to items, keeping count of materials used, etc.
Pay rate: $24.56 per hour.
= Experience and facility with computers
= Ability to troubleshoot
= Ability to comply with technical requirements for audio production.
= Ability to adapt quickly to changes in systems and to generalize concepts to new situations.
= Ability to work independently with minimal day to day oversight.
= Experience using ExCel and .csv and ablity to populate and manipulate spreadsheets for production tracking and reporting. Statistical accuracy.
= Ability to package materials for shipment in a neat, professional manner, including applying labels with correct orientation and alignment.
= Excellent organizational and communication skills.
= Ability to assess practicality of processes and suggest improvements.
= Proficiency in using MicroSoft Office Suite.
= Ability to lift 40 lbs.
= Ability to obtain pallet jack certification.
