Offset Press Helper (3rd shift)

The Offset Wet Glue Helper is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in running and maintaining the press.

Responsibilities

• Mount plates.
• Pull and lay out tooling for production orders.
• Support the operator with set-up and tear-down.
• Operate the press through lunch and break periods when necessary.
• Monitor the ink levels, paper levels, and fount solution.
• Fill ink and dampening solution fountains and adjust controls to regulate flow of ink and dampening solution to plate cylinder.
• At shift change, check and refill as needed the fount solution, paper, plates, and inks. Make certain that area is clean, empty trash, and empty trace.
• Must work well with others in a team environment.
• Recording of time and production for job costing.
• Ability to meet daily production standards.
• Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and press.
• Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
