Description
The City of Blue Ash is seeking a reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team member to serve as a Park Maintenance Evening & Weekend Supervisor. This position plays a key role in maintaining the appearance, cleanliness, and readiness of the City’s parks and outdoor public spaces during evenings and weekends when daytime staff are not present.
This role focuses on park presentation, cleanliness, event support, and rental readiness, ensuring parks remain welcoming, safe, and well-maintained for residents, visitors, and permitted users.
This is a Part-Time Permanent position, scheduled during evenings, weekends, and special events, with hours varying based on park usage, rentals, and City events, approximately 16-32 hours per week.

- Perform routine evening and weekend checks of City parks and outdoor public spaces to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles, clean picnic tables and seating areas, and address litter or debris as needed.
- Maintain high standards of park presentation through proactive, detail-oriented care of outdoor spaces.
- Assist with City-hosted events from a park operations standpoint, including trash management, light setup support, breakdown assistance, and general outdoor logistics.
- Prepare park spaces for permitted rentals by ensuring cleanliness, readiness, and proper setup prior to renter arrival.
- Conduct post-rental and post-event walkthroughs to restore spaces and document any misuse, damage, or policy violations.
- Place and remove signage related to park rentals, reserved areas, and public notices as needed.
- Provide general on-site support for outdoor activities, including moving tables, adjusting park furnishings, or assisting staff with park-related needs.
- Travel independently between multiple parks and outdoor spaces during a shift.
- Serve as a visible City presence during evening and weekend hours, reporting concerns, safety issues, or maintenance needs to Parks or Recreation leadership.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license.
- Strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High level of pride in work quality and attention to detail, particularly regarding cleanliness and public presentation.
- Dependable, responsible, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks across multiple park locations.
- Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for 6+ hours during a shift.
- Ability to lift or exert up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Strong observational skills and ability to document issues accurately.
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and variable schedules, including special events and high-use periods.
