Machine Operator

Ability to follow written instructions and read blueprint specifications, with 1-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Under close supervision, operates more than one type of production machine: Laser, press brake. Speed feeds materiel as set-ups are usually completed by others.

• Performs typical press operations to support the assembly floor.
• Required to be familiar with basic hand held measuring tools.
• Must be able to perform, but not limited to, the following tasks: form, draw, coin, inspect and tumble.
• Must be familiar with all the machines required to perform the tasks stated above.
• Able to perform set-ups on these machines and tools that are used in them.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required per the P.M. charts.
• Perform other related operations as required or directed. May work at different workstations as production needs require.

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or
• One year related experience ability to read and interpret blueprint.
