General Laborer

SUMMARY:  Responsible for overall general maintenance, cleanliness and safety of the facility.  Performs routine and preventive maintenance and general repairs. Responds to emergency situations quickly and efficiently in order to prevent interruptions of facility operations. Performs grounds maintenance and landscaping duties.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs miscellaneous cleaning and general facility repair tasks.
• Cleans and maintains exterior of facility.
• Performs rounds of property to ensure the safety of guests and associates. Reports to the Facility Manager any hazardous or threatening condition.
• Safely operates all lifts and other machinery as required.
• Assists other departments as needed.
• Assists with general carpentry work, including framing walls, hanging drywall, building shelves, lay carpet, etc.
• Routine check up and repair of furniture and fixtures.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Performs seasonal grounds maintenance tasks (i.e. Mows lawns, landscapes grounds, removes snow, salts sidewalks).
• Follows GuestPath Universal Service Standards, Operational Service Standards, and SERVE expectations at all times.
• Perform duties in a safe manner; report any potential safety hazards to management staff.
• Perform any reasonable, temporarily assigned job duties outside the position’s job description, where, in the Company’s judgment, those duties are necessary in the interest of efficiency, productivity, or guest service.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
• Preferred two to three months experience in a maintenance or landscaping role
• Valid Gaming License
• Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required
• Must complete a thorough background check or be able to obtain a Gaming License

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Associate must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes, dust or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, secondhand smoke and outside weather conditions.
