Facilities maintanence

Under the direction of the Facility Manager, will be responsible for the daily execution of scheduled and non-scheduled repairs.

• Will assists in performing routine corrective and preventative maintenance work on the facility and its operating systems.
• Moderate problem-solving required.
• Position requires familiarity with routine facility maintenance activities, including work involving basic plumbing (repairing leaks, unplugging toilets/drains, etc.), replacing bulbs/florescent lights, and making electrical related repairs (replacing electrical receptacles, etc.).
• Minor maintenance work on doors, floors, windows, roofs, and HVAC components.
• Will have knowledge of standard practices and experience using hand and electrical tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities as well as safety practices and procedures related to the building trades.
• Will have the ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
• Other duties may include janitorial, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance.

 

Must have demonstrated ability to follow oral and/or written instructions; communicate effectively in both oral and written form and maintain work logs; establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work assignments.

Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds. Other demands may include bending, reaching, and stooping for extended periods, and climbing ladders.
