The AAG program offers innovative education and mentored apprenticeship training for a career as automotive technician. Today’s automobiles require that technicians be both technologically proficient and mechanically skilled.  In our program, students earn a wage while they gain on-the-job experience, and receive classroom and specialized training.

PAID JOB + EDUCATION + CREDENTIALS + CAREER

It’s Time for the Modern Apprenticeship.

Upon completion of the AAG program, students receive certification as an Automotive Technician Specialist from the US Department of Labor and will be fully prepared to take their ASE certifications if they would like to. In addition to this multi-skilled certification, they are paid $13.00/ hr for their on-the-job training and will have no debt for their education as AAG will cover all cost and provide mentored support through the duration as well as with post completion job placement. The key benefit of this program is that students will graduate the program with no college debt and they have trade skills that will benefit them for life in a secure and well-paying industry.

Why Becoming an Automotive Technician Can Be a Great Career Choice?

Simply put, there’s a shortage of qualified Automotive Technicians and it is having a significant impact of the automotive industry. Automotive Technicians are skilled, well paid and involved in technologically innovative and challenging work. Demand for qualified technicians is growing at a significant rate because dealerships cannot find the skilled workforce they need.  Apprentices earn higher starting salaries then college graduates on average. In 2018, college grads could expect to make an average of $50,390 annually. This figure doesn’t take into consideration the fact that degree holders will end up carrying an average of $39,400 in student debt.  Not only do most apprentices move directly into employment upon program completion, but they largely do so debt-free and are earning while learning. In 2019 the Bureau of Labor Statistics stated that the average wage for an entry level automotive technician was $54,890. One advantage of an AAG apprenticeship is helping our apprentices find their best earning potential. High performance cars and the dealerships that work on those vehicles, will pay higher on average for their skilled labor. Through an AAG apprenticeship you are working inside of a dealership from day one, allowing our apprentices to skip the burden of searching for a career once their education and training is complete. We help match our apprentices to the host dealership that will be the best fit for them.
