1st and 2nd shift Refrigeration in Maintenance Department

General Job Description: Perform skilled work in the operation, predictive and preventative maintenance, and repair of the facility’s real property, power industrial trucks, and plant facility systems. Operate and maintain the ammonia refrigeration system.

Able to perform electrical and mechanical preventative and predictive maintenance as tasked. Able to complete daily log sheets, communicate effectively, and be proactive in recognizing and reporting unsafe conditions and other mechanical concerns. Be proactive in the daily plant operations to ensure maximum plant efficiencies and product quality and capacity. Assist in maintaining a relevant and accurate mechanical inventory. Must support the company personnel and food safety programs, policies and procedures, and contract employee programs. Follows all company personnel safety, food safety, attendance, GMP policies. Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to include lubrication power train & bearing maintenance, motor and gearbox replacement, fork truck & pallet jack maintenance. Able to use measurement devices

 

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or a minimum of two years of ammonia related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have boiler, ammonia and HVAC experience.
Must be able to lift or move up to 100 lbs.
Required basic electrical troubleshooting experience including troubleshooting electrical circuits.
Ability to work in a cold, wet, and humid environment.
Ability to work overtime and weekends.
Be able to furnish own tools.
