KOST USA is looking for a 2nd Shift Blending Operator to join our team! We are looking for a self-motivated, professional, and organized individual who enjoys detailed work and a fast-paced environment. This position is critical to our operation and is an integral part of the Blending Operations team.
In this position, you will be responsible for:
- Following all established procedures and abiding by all safety and quality guidelines
- Verifying the tank to be used for the chemical blend.
- Following all instructions on the blend sheet to create the chemical blend.
- Connecting proper hoses to tanks and pumps
- On each blend sheet, recording and verifying the lot number and amount of each additive used.
- Turning on the air or agitator to blend.
- Giving the blend sheet to the lab when finished. Communicating with the lab for blend approvals and/or corrections.
- Transferring approved product to storage vessel.
- Organizing additive bins.
- Keeping the plant and warehouse organized, safe and clean.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Required Experience:
- High school education is required.
- Previous blending or related experience in a chemical manufacturing setting preferred.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- An employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 42 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds, and horizontally push up to 125 pounds.
