Description
The City of the Village of Indian Hill, Ohio is accepting applications for a full-time Water Works Administrative Assistant. The position is responsible for maintaining records of the Water Works utility customers which include meter reading, consumption records, billing invoices and processing of payments and deposits; issues shut off notices and notifications regarding emergency water shutoffs and other water main projects; performs all customer service related duties related to the water billing functions by answering incoming calls, directing walk-in customers and responding to citizen complaints. Coordinates and schedules customer work orders and issues fire hydrant permits and meter applications. In addition, the position assists other administrative assistants with income tax collection as needed. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Must have ability to attend monthly after hour meetings.Salary range is $52,000 to $67,980 based on qualifications. Excellent benefit package which includes eleven paid holidays and vacation accruals based on years of service credit for those candidates who have prior service with other governmental units in Ohio.
Job Requirements
An Associate's Degree in Accounting or closely related field preferred with demonstrated experience in accounting software applications. Two years of work experience in general accounting or office administration is required. Applicants must possess strong verbal and written communication skills as the position interacts continuously with residents, councilmembers, vendors and staff. Applicants must possess willingness to be a team player and work collaboratively. Applicants must be organized, detailed-oriented and effectively prioritize workloads. Must have extensive computer knowledge and strong computer skills -- particularly Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint -- are essential to the position.
