Description
LOCATION: Adult Workforce Education - D Russel Lee
DESCRIPTION: The Associate Director of Health Programs will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Health Programs, with responsibility for the subdivision’s program operations including but not limited to: curriculum design and development, educational delivery and evaluation, clinical/externship coordination, program registration, career counseling, assessments, job profiling, and Adult Workforce Education-data reporting. The Associate Director of Health Programs reports to the Executive Director of Adult Workforce Education.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree or higher;
- If the Bachelor’s degree is in Nursing, the Master’s degree may or may not be in Nursing
- If a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing is not held, the Master’s degree must be in Nursing
- Completion of an approved, domestic registered nursing education program;
- At least 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, with 2 years as a faculty member of a registered or practical nursing education program;
- Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio;
- Valid STNA Coordinator certificate or willingness and ability to obtain such certificate preferred;
- Requires:
- STNA Train the Trainer course
- At least 2 years/3,200 hours of experience as a registered nurse with 1 year/1,600 hours as a registered nurse in a long-term care facility
- Requires:
- Valid AWE Health Workforce licensure issued by the Ohio Department of Education or willingness and ability to obtain such license;
- Effective and demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
- Recruitment, marketing, and/or sales experience preferred;
- History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
- Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
START DATE: As soon as possible
SALARY RANGE: Administrator Grade 2 (Starting at $75,303)
WORK YEAR: 230 days/year
