Associate Director of Health Programs

The Associate Director of Health Programs will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Health Programs, with responsibility for the subdivision’s program operations including but not limited to:  curriculum design and development, educational delivery and evaluation, program registration, career counseling, assessments, job profiling, and Adult Workforce Education data reporting.

• A Master’s degree or higher;
o If the Bachelor’s degree is in Nursing, the Master’s degree may or may not be in Nursing
o If the Bachelor’s degree is not in Nursing, the Master’s degree must be in Nursing
• Completion of an approved, domestic registered nursing education program;
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, with 2 years as a faculty member of a registered or practical nursing education program;
• Current, valid licensure as a registered nurse in Ohio;
• Valid STNA Program Coordinator certificate or willingness and ability to obtain such certificate preferred;
o Requires:
 STNA Train the Trainer course
 Minimum 2 years/3,200 hours of experience as a registered nurse with 1 year/1,600 hours as a registered nurse in a long-term care facility
• Supervisory experience, including evaluating staff and managing a schedule;
• Willingness and ability to obtain an Adult Workforce Education Health Occupations permit issued by the Ohio Department of Education;
• Effective and demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, analytical, oral and written communication, and organizational skills;
• Recruitment, marketing, and/or sales experience preferred;
• History of strong work record, including good job attendance; and
• Documented evidence of acceptable criminal record as required by Ohio law and Board Policy.
