Atlas Operator (2nd shift)

The Atlas Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of assigned packaging equipment while meeting and exceeding all safety, quality, and efficiency standards.  At Eurostampa we believe in investing in our employees. Responsibilities

• Operates complex Atlas slicing equipment with manual controls and basic mechanical adjustments and performs changeovers as required.
• Responsible for setting up the Atlas machines by using standard guidelines.
• Adheres to technical procedures as necessary for the safe operation and care of equipment in order to produce a quality product.
• Ensures that the product meets the customer’s specifications.
• Communicates quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Responsible for the proper and accurate completion of all documentation including but not limited to quality checks, downtime reports, and setup checklist.
• Performs change out of normal such as cutting blades.
• Follows and completes the daily production schedule, including changes that may occur during the course of the shift.
• Responsible for meeting machine efficiency and effectiveness.
• Recording of time and production for job costing.
• Ability to meet daily production standards.
• Performs all required preventative maintenance in accordance to production schedule.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area and machine.
• Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Specific Skills, Competencies, and Qualifications

• Basic math skills – ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Basic reading skills – ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and procedures.
• Must have excellent problem solving skills while working in a fast paced environment.
• Good computer skills.
• Physical demands include standing long periods of time.
• Dexterity of hands.
• Must have ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines.
