Automotive Wheel Repair Technician - Cincinnati, OH

We’re a successful fast growing company based in Louisville, Kentucky. We’re growing rapidly, undergoing a national expansion. In the past five years, we’ve grown from 60 employees to over 400. We’ve averaged 50% revenue growth each year over the past 8 years. We’re looking for an experienced Wheel Technician to help play an important part in our growth. You will enjoy the flexibility and freedom of running your own route.

Position Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position include being responsible for painting surfaces of wheels through spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparations and painting techniques. Our Wheel Technicians receive all the tools and supplies needed for the job.

Duties Critical to Success:

  • Maintain business relationships to increase our clients’ profits
  • Drive our company van to dealerships and fleet operations in your metro area
  • Walk and write up car lots for customer approval
  • Inspect wheels to be painted for repair, prepping and/or buffing defects
  • Paint surfaces of wheels using spray-painting equipment, power tools and work aids utilizing specific surface preparation and painting techniques
  • Mix specific colors using standard formulas or color charts
  • Sand, mask, blend and polish finish. Apply or retouch paint as necessary
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships to ensure longevity of accounts/business
  • Work with accounts/or sales managers on a regular basis to increase quality of service to accounts
  • This role will report to assigned routes and establish accounts daily to service all repairs in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years automotive paint experience required or collision repair technical school training
  • 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, climb and perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (wheels, tools, etc.)
  • Frequent exposure to toxic chemicals. Moderate noise level. Respirators must be worn, and other protective equipment may be required
  • General computer skills
  • Some experience with route sales preferred
  • Safe place to park company van
