SCOPE: To troubleshoot and repair systems and components and inspect and complete service requests in a timely efficient manner for the Building Maintenance department.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is responsible for PM (Preventive Maintenance), update and oversight of the boilers and HVAC systems. This includes the documentation and storage of records to verify the PM procedures and the safe and proper operation of these systems. Additionally, this position is responsible for the inspection of major components newly installed in the boilers and HVAC systems.

Due to the 2nd shift nature of this role it is eligible for a $4/hr shift differential.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred:

  • Experience in operation of a complex building system, with demonstrable knowledge of complex, heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC), systems maintenance and operation, automatic & pneumatic controls, laws and accepted procedures of building utilities operations, technical sketches, flow diagrams, performance graphs, prepare reports and present facts clearly, oral and written, and experience in the installation and maintenance of electro-pneumatic control systems.
  • Ability to insure inventory is on hand and requisition parts when needed.
  • Ability to use meters to record flows for hydronic and air systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, pneumatic diagrams, flow charts and control prints.
  • State of Ohio low pressure boiler operator's license.
