PRIMARY TASKS:

The primary responsibilities of a CDL driver at Environmental Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) are driving and operating vacuum trucks, moving heavy equipment (backhoes and skid steer) managing assorted waste materials, and conducting emergency response services. Driver's responsibilities include handling, loading and unloading. In addition, our drivers assist our field technicians in a variety of projects. This position requires technical aptitude including hooking up hoses, connections and operating the PTO. Some light vehicle maintenance may be required. The CDL driver is occasionally required to perform physical labor.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS (non-inclusive):

This position is physical in nature and requires: walking, standing, climbing, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 70 pounds), carrying, pushing/pulling, and twisting. Typically, the work is conducted in Level D but sometimes conditions warrant Level B or C personal protective equipment. EEI's drivers carry both tanker and HAZMAT certifications as well.

DETAILS OF ASSIGNMENT:

  • EEI's Environmental Services Division provides these services and works side by side with our subsidiary Midwest Environmental Transport (MET). Together, this equipment provides a variety of experiences for beginning drivers. Trucks affiliated with EEI's Environmental Service Division Include:
  • Vacuum Trucks (One Haz, One Non-Haz)
  • Box Truck
  • Tractor
  • Lowboy
  • Tankers
  • Roll off Truck and Trailer
  • Some overnight travel is necessary (~20%).

The CDL driver is capable of taking direction, working well with others, and decision-making. In addition, they must be organized, detailed oriented, good at record keeping, safety oriented, observant, resourceful, and versatile. All EEI's CDL drivers are familiar with RCRA regulations, and Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
