CLIMBING WALL SUPERVISOR

The City of Blue Ash Recreation Center is accepting applications for a Part-Time Climbing Wall Supervisor.  The Climbing Wall Supervisor is responsible for the organization and quality of the climbing wall operation. The position oversees a family-friendly, safety-focused and fun environment for members and guests. The supervisor provides training to the climbing wall staff, and is responsible for completing routine maintenance on the climbing wall.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Follow proper wall opening and closing procedures
• Ensure the safety of all patrons utilizing the climbing wall; remedy all unsafe practices or conditions immediately
• Apply the climbing wall policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain positive public relations with members and guests
• Administer tests and belay certify climbers
• Completion of all administrative paperwork during scheduled shift
• Inspect, issue and maintain climbing equipment; document unsafe equipment and remove from the inventory to be repaired or replaced
• Provide First Aid, CPR, and AED in emergency situations
• Assist in the changing and marking of wall routes, as determined by direct supervisor
• Perform general custodial and maintenance functions, as necessary
• Plan and lead staff meetings and staff trainings
• Other duties as assigned

• At least one year of climbing wall experience
• Ability to frequently ascend climbing wall structure
• Ability to lift more than 50lbs
• Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required within the first 90 days of hire
• Management experience is preferred
