Concessions Supervisor

The City of Blue Ash Recreation Department is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Concessions Supervisor to manage the concession operations at the Blue Ash Sports Center (11540 Grooms Road), the Blue Ash Pool (4433 Cooper Road), and the Blue Ash Nature Park (4433 Cooper Road). This position is part-time seasonal (March – October) requiring a flexible work schedule that includes nights and weekends.

The position will enjoy paid, on-site training; contributions to the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System; free individual membership to the Recreation Center with eligibility and discount for family members, and discounts at the Blue Ash Golf Course and Sandtrap Grill.

Salary:  $16.44 - $19.12

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Manage all seasonal concession operations, employees, equipment, and facilities at the Blue Ash Recreation Center, Blue Ash Nature Park and Blue Ash Sports Center
• Hire, train, schedule and evaluate concession employees
• Manage inventory and purchase product for all concession operations
• Inspect, clean and assist in maintaining concession facilities and equipment
• Monitor compliance with health department regulations regarding food preparation and serving
• Assist in budgeting for concession equipment, product and employee salaries
• Conduct regular scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and employees
• Maintain a formal/professional conduct in an informal environment
• Promote a positive work culture
• Manage and assume responsibility of the security of revenue from food services and ensure the accuracy of revenue reports
• Attend food/beverage related trainings as needed
• Perform assigned tasks by the Membership Services Manager

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Excellent leadership, communication and management skills
• Management experience in food and beverage

• Self-motivated, focused and driven to achieve goals
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, Outlook, Point of Sale).
• Good attitude and work ethic
• Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures
• Guest oriented and service minded with experience in a Parks & Recreation setting preferred
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds
