Description
Position: Flatwork Finisher/Formwork Technician – Cement Mason
Prerequisites:
• Must have mastered the prerequisites for Laborer.
• Must have a basic understanding of blueprints.
• Must have a basic understanding of construction and more specifically of the concrete trade.
• Must have mastered all of the skills required to produce a product that meets or exceeds
engineering specifications and customer expectations.
• Must know and understand the job at hand.
• Must be able to work independently and take initiative.
• Should possess good communication skills.
Job Description and Duties:
• Has mastered the job duties of the previous trade, and;
• Performs advanced construction job duties including, but not limited to, those outlined below:
o Creates, smoothes, and finishes surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks,
and/or curbs.
o Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the concrete field.
o Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
o Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision.
