Vacation Accrual

40 hours after 6 months

160 hours after 10 years

200 hours after 15 years

240 hours after 25 years

Lateral Transfers previous service time in Ohio counts towards the accumulation of vacation time.

Minimum Qualifications:

 Minimum of 21 years of age;

• Must be a high school graduate or possess a G.E.D.;
• Must possess a valid Ohio Basic Peace Officer’s Certification

        prior to start date;

• Must have a valid drivers license;
• Must pass a written examination, physical fitness

         assessment, medical examination (including a drug

          screen), psychological evaluation, and voice stress exam;

• Completion of a personal background investigation

        and oral interview.
