Direct Support Professional

As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide a variety of care and support services to the individuals we support, in their homes and communities, including:

• Assistance with bathing and personal hygiene.
• Assistance with toileting.
• Assistance with medical care tasks.
• Assistance with meal planning and preparation.
• Assistance with household tasks including laundry and cleaning.
• Transporting the individual to/from and participating in community events.
• Advocating for, and supporting the individual with obtaining independence, empowerment and self-determination.

You must meet the following qualifications:

• You must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
• You must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
• You must be able to provide an insured, safe and reliable vehicle for use on the job.
• You must undergo a background check, in accordance with Ohio law.
• You must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
• You must have the ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, carry, push, pull, bend, transfer, stoop and walk when required.
• You must have the ability to adapt to changing work conditions.
