Electrical Technician ~ 1st Shift

JOB SUMMARY

Build, modify, rebuild, repair, or overhaul electronic and electrical equipment and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Perform assembly, complex and repetitive wiring, and/or operations to produce complete sub-assemblies and final assembly of product.

• Work to bill of materials, manufacturing information, and instruction from Supervisor or Engineering.

• Responsible for visual inspections of material before and after assembling.

• Make necessary adjustments when required. Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions.

• Responsible for assembling products, handling products, equipment and materials.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, associates degree or technical school certificate is a plus
• Experience: Minimum 2 years previous electrical hands-on experience
• High degree of demonstrated electrical aptitude
• Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and schematics, and follow instructions
• Excellent math skills and understanding of basic concepts
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and accuracy

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

• Job duties are performed mainly within an indoor, established manufacturing environment under normal lighting. This environment is climate-controlled, the noise level is usually low, and proper PPE is to be used (safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator if applicable). Employees are regularly exposed to hazardous equipment and may share a workspace. Employees may be exposed to strong chemical odors on rare occasions in a well-ventilated area.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing, and/or pulling.
• Frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the industrial facility.
