What You'll Be Doing: 

The purpose of the Operator and Assembler position is to: 1) Assemble electronic components, sub-assemblies, products or systems according to company work instructions and customer specifications; 2) Ensures compliance to quality standards on each project or job while maintaining production goals; and 3) Follows company policy and procedure ensuring a safe, respectful workplace.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follow production drawings and work instructions for assigned company work order.
  • Position and align parts as per customer specifications in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Join or Secure parts in place by crimping, staking, bolting, riveting, welding, soldering, cementing, press fitting, or similar operations.
  • Mount assembled components such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits and sockets.
  • Connect components lead wires to printed circuit or routes wire between individual component leads and other components, terminals, and contact points.
  • Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches to assemblies
  • Pull, process, and count parts for accuracy.
  • Maintains production records, logs, and other report forms.
  • Identify and inform Operations Team Lead of any product defects or production process issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment free of FOD
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Education:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

  • 1-3 years manufacturing/production experience required. 
  • Experience with reading schematics/blueprints and following written work instructions. 
  • Good written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations. 
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft applications.

Work Environment:

On the shop floor, employees are required to wear safety equipment consisting of: closed-toed shoes, safety glasses, heel straps, wrist straps, and electro-static discharge lab coats while on the production floor and are occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, and minimal risk of electrical shock.
