Equipment Technician II (Equipment/Tool Repair Technician II)

Location:  Harrison, OH/Department:  1- 061107 – Lifting & Rigging Equipment

SUMMARY: Equipment/Tool Repair Technician to trouble shoot, repair, and service various types of industrial and contractor’s equipment primarily pneumatic, electric, hydraulic tools, and rigging equipment.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have mechanical aptitude.
  • One plus years’ experience in repairing tools, equipment, or machinery.
  • Experience repairing the following types of equipment:   Manual Chain Hoists and Pullers, Pneumatic Tuggers / Winches, Pneumatic Impacts, Power Tools, Electric Threaders, Milling Equipment (Electric and Pneumatic).
  • Requires a professional and customer service demeanor always be displayed.
  • Able to perform physical requirements of the job, including, but not limited to lifting, climbing, being on your feet for extended amounts of time and working in a shop environment are needed.
  • As the workload dictates, some overtime (including weekends) will be required.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking, while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and able to work with little direction.
  • The selected candidate must supply own repair tools, bench equipment supplied.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Various levels of environmental conditions including but not limited to shop, project worksites and vendor/client facilities which may have temporary office space, moving mechanical parts and vibration; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and extreme temperatures and high noise levels.
