Field Service Technician

Industrial Burner Services provides field service, custom equipment and parts for all types of industrial combustion systems including ovens, thermal oxidizers, air heaters, ladle preheaters, etc.

We are looking for a reliable Field Service Technician to join our team. Experience in the field is a plus but we are also willing to train the right person for the job.

Field Service Technician - Responsibilities

Responsible for troubleshooting, servicing, maintaining and installing combustion type equipment.
Perform preventative maintenance checks, NFPA86 safety checks, burner tuning, energy audits, equipment start-ups and commissioning.
Installation/repair of mechanical and electrical devices related to combustion equipment.
Complete necessary paperwork related to service work performed including service reports, expenses, time sheets and vehicle inventory.
Technical phone support for customers as necessary.
We have local and regional customers and some travel is required.

Qualifications

Knowledge of NFPA86 Standard for Ovens and Furnaces is a plus.
Electrical wiring fundamentals and the ability to read electrical ladder diagrams and schematics.
PLC experience is a plus.
Knowledge of panel assembly/fabrication techniques is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude required using hand tools and various other fabrication type equipment.
Good communication skills are necessary.
Computer skills required. MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
Must be physically able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
Have and maintain a valid driver’s license as well as satisfactory driving record.
Must clear hiring process for criminal background check and drug use.
