Our specialization in pre-painted and pre-finished materials also means we study and create together with our customers’ tailor-made plants for manufacturing punched, folded sheet metal products; these plants are completed with assembly and packaging systems.

 

DALLAN S.p.A. has its headquarters located in Veneto, Italy. Established in the USA in Miamisburg, Ohio, their subsidiary DALLAN AMERICA CORP is looking to grow its team by hiring a Field Service Technician.

 

We are seeking an individual who is eager to learn with technical experience in the electrical, mechanical engineering fields. Applicants must have a basic understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical circuits, along with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of PC’s, PLC’s, and industrial controls is a plus.

 

Top candidates should have great interpersonal, communication, and writing skills due to client interactions and team-oriented culture. A customer service background would be very helpful.

Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time and be able to obtain a passport. Most travel will be inside the USA, but occasional trips to Mexico, Canada, and Europe will be required.

 

The candidate will receive the appropriate training in the US facility and in the Italian Headquarters in order to develop these skills:

 

  • Integrate new equipment into existing systems, performing machine installations, function test, optimization, and adjustment on machines and processes
  • Perform on-site installation and setup of our monitoring and automation systems
  • Maintenance of surfacing and finishing machines, troubleshooting, and reporting problems or possible improvements
  • Diligently and accurately complete customer call reports and technical service documentation (signed field service reports, expense reports, internal service bulletins)
  • Develop a sense of urgency to respond quickly to customer inquiries and problems
  • Capable of assisting sales department with new business and project opportunities
  • Promote and maintain a positive work environment focusing on customer satisfaction, professional conduct, and emphasis on teamwork
  • Comply with all company policies and complete administrative tasks in a timely manner.

 

Qualifications:

  • Required High School Diploma
  • Preferred Associate degree in a mechanical, electrical, or related technical field
  • Previous work experience with a valid trade certification will be given strong consideration
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic schematic diagrams
  • Knowledge of PC’s, PLC’s, and industrial controls is a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Understanding Italian is a plus

 

Requirements:

  • Current valid driver license
  • Current valid passport (a plus, will need one in the future)
  • Must have the willingness and ability to travel domestically approximately 80% of the time to meet client needs (mostly USA, occasional Mexico, Canada, and Europe)
  • Applicants for employment in the US must have work authorization that does not now or in the future requires sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States.
