The Mechanical Service Technician (MST) is a field based role, providing mechanical related maintenance functions. This position is very critical to a smooth operation for our customers' sites, and the MST will be required to perform repair, preventative maintenance (PM’S), and assist with the troubleshooting of our customer’s various material handling systems. The Technician will take the initiative to coordinate with other departments the activities required for the safe and satisfactory completion of any job tasks. The Mechanical Service Technician (MST) will represent Honeywell/Intelligrated on site and will also need to follow our customer’s guidelines for general work practices outlined on site.
Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvement
Provides resolutions to mechanical, technical issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in FSL and trip report; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issues
Provides information to the Customer and other members of management to enhance Customer Service success
Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. multi-meter, laptop)
Troubleshoots and repairs complex electrical/electronic problems with equipment, networks, PC logic controls, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and external Input/Output (I/O) devices where the repair is not immediately visible or obvious
Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an ROI to support the change
Responsible for effective and thorough communication with (or to) individuals or groups and with the customer verbally and/or in writing regarding maintenance or repair information
Assist with cleaning, maintaining, and troubleshooting basic problems with the material handling equipment
Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment as required
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g. pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, conveyors, sorters, palletizers, robotics, hydraulic equipment, basic electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to established procedures
Follow up with customers and other departments to ensure issues have been resolved
Completes appropriate paperwork in a timely manner
May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Continue your education by taking online courses to grow in the organization

Job Requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
High School diploma or GED, or equivalent in education and relevant work experience
Minimum one (1) year mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Ability to work nights and weekends
Ability to travel up to 90%\
Valid drivers license
Basic hand tools
