Could be assigned to clean or sort bins or both:
Sorter: Sort totes and build pallets to make full skids of the same tote. Using a hand jack, deliver to the next available cleaner. If there is no cleaner available, take to waiting area. Repeat.
Cleaner: Looking for damage in/out and confirm all totes on the skid are the same. Take labels off, dump it out and restack the skid. Tag with correct number (nickname) and pull around to waiting area for drivers to take and load trucks. After you complete this, if there is not a skid of totes in the waiting area and you notice the sorter may need help pulling up completed skids to the waiting area or to you- you may go to the sorting area to take the next available skid.
Physical demands and requirements:
- Bending stooping and lifting
- Must follow process taught to sort/ clean totes
- 5S
- Expectation of high level of quality work
- Self motivator- will work with little supervision at times
- Must be flexible for OT with little notice- core hours are 6-3:00 Mon- Fri and Saturday schedule when needed ( Sat's are rare but must be flexible)
- No RF scan experience needed
- Must have own or reliable transportation
Dress code:
Jeans/Shorts to the knee, T-shirt (no tank, muscle shirt or cut off shirts allowed), tennis shoes
No cell phones and/or electronic devices on your person while on the floor working, this includes ear buds
