Description
Help us provide memorable experiences for our patrons! We are currently seeking an organized, energetic self-starter for the full-time position of Hospitality & Venue Coordinator. This team member is responsible for the scheduling and coordinating our hospitality services with our patrons who are interested in utilizing our facilities for social and corporate events. With three beautiful venues throughout the Parks and Recreation Department, each offers a unique experience for weddings, birthdays, business meetings and corporate teambuilding events. Coordinating with our customers, you will embrace their vision for the special occasion and work with them to provide the perfect atmosphere. At the Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department, your work adds value and makes an everyday impact to our community.
The ideal team member is reliable, friendly and self-motivated. They will have an education and experience that centers around scheduling hospitality staff and providing support for unique social events. Our next team member will be someone with effective oral and written communications skills as well as leadership and managerial skills. This position requires the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, local businesses and the surrounding community as well as possess a Valid Driver’s License.
Job Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
Five years professional experience, with at least one year in a supervisory position. Undergraduate Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Recreation Administration, Leisure Studies or related field preferred. Must be customer/client focused, with excellent collaboration and problem solving skills and creativity. Requires effective oral and written communication skills. Valid driver’s license.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Generally active physical effort required to do office and general facility tasks and activities (indoor and outdoor) frequently being exposed to extreme outdoor temperatures, airborne particles and loud noise levels in the work environment. Required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, carry, crouch, crawl, climb and walk. Maximum unassisted lift is 50 lbs., average lift approximately 10 lbs. Requires ability to use keyboard, monitor and calculator and other office equipment as well as equipment for recreational activities. Requires ability to communicate verbally in person and via telephone. Requires travel by car, driving locally and to distant sites.
