Description
As our First point of contact with our customer, the Host/Hostess plays an essential role in creating a positive and engaging customer experience – such that the customer will not only want to come back soon, they will want to bring all of their friends. The Host/Hostess welcomes our guests to our busy Tap House and Wine Bar and guide them to meet their entertainment, beverage and food needs – by helping to sign in for Duckpin Bowling, move to the Bar, or Delicios Coal Fired Pizza. .
Host/Hostess Responsibilities
• Greet guests as they enter and assist in signing in to Duckpin Bowling as necessary.
• Explain store concept and direct patrons to Delicio Coal Fired where necessary
• Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with service or any assistance that is needed.
• Respond to complaints and help to resolve them.
• Answer phone calls and answering any questions future guest may have.
• Ability to develop a strong working knowledge of both drink and food menus.
Ability to maintain awareness of special house or private events- provide information to guests as necessary
• Assist Event Coordinator with event planning as necessary
• Helping out with other positions in the restaurant as needed (i.e. busing tables or running orders).
• Providing great customer service.
Host/Hostess Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to provide top notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with all Bar staff.
• Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification if needed.
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system.
• Able to work in a busy Bar environment.
• Restaurant experience a plus.
Hoppin' Vines host 40 Craft Beer Taps, 50+ Bourbons, 1000+ Wine bottle walk in cooler, 6 Duckpin bowling lanes, and food provided by Delcios Coal Fired Pizza.
