MidPointe Library – Human Resources Manager – Full Time
 
Due to the upcoming retirement of the HR Director later in 2026, this role is part of the succession planning we are implementing now. As HR Manager you would support the library’s vision and mission by managing the HR functions for all library staff; use discretion and independent judgment in the interpretation and compliance with board approved policies, applicable federal, state, local and public employment laws, and library employment processes and procedures. You’d manage the employee lifecycle, including recruiting, hiring, training, performance management, labor relations, compensation & classification, off-boarding, HR records retention, and ensuring HR legal compliance. Assist in administering the employee benefit programs.
MidPointe is located on the east side of Butler County, Ohio in a vibrant, dynamic, diverse community that enjoys community support. To Be Successful, You Will Need:
• Bachelor’s degree or commensurate job experience is needed. HRCI or SHRM certification is highly desired.
• Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience and at least five years in a progressive supervisory or managerial capacity.
• Must have a valid driver’s license; be insurable and eligible for the library’s insurance coverage; have reliable transportation for travel to other branches, and able to drive a library vehicle when needed.
• Proven leadership, administrative, budgetary, supervisory, project management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and decision-making experience is needed.
• Excellent leadership skills needed include commitment and passion, strategic planning, integrity, vision, decisiveness, managerial competence, analytical reasoning ability, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and top-notch communication including public speaking.
• Good knowledge of the principles and procedures of human resource management; compensation and benefits; labor laws, relations and regulations; problem solving; and HRIS.
• Excellent computer skills such as HRIS and payroll software; databases; shared drives; form creation; advanced Internet and Microsoft Suite skills; and AI technical & durable skills as appropriate.
• Excellent supervisory skills needed include coaching, motivating, interviewing and selection, performance evaluations, training, disciplining, and effective supervisory methods.
• To be able to learn and carry out the responsibilities of the position.
• Have regular and predictable physical attendance as required. This is not a remote or hybrid position.
Hours:
This is a full-time exempt position with an expectation of working 40 hours per week, more as needed.
Salary:
The pay range on an hourly basis is $41.15 - $67.00 and the rate depends on experience, job skills, education, and languages spoken. This is an exempt position, not eligible for overtime.

Physical Abilities Include:
-Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday and sit for an extended period of time.
-Able to work in areas with odors, including cleaners & disinfectants, and in areas that may contain dust, or other possible allergens.
-Must be able to move crates and carts, that when full, could weigh up to 75+ pounds.
