Description
The City of Middletown is accepting resumes for the position of Human Resources Manager. The position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and evaluating the functions for the centralized municipal personnel program. Considerable independent judgement and initiative is exercised in accomplishing goals and objectives. Work is performed under the direction of the Administrative Services Director. Position requires extensive contact with City departments and employees, representatives of other organizations, and the public. Requirements: Graduation from a college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Administration, Public Administration, Business Administration or a closely related field supplemented by at least four years of professional human resource management work, preferably in a public sector human resources department. Related Master’s degree and Professional HR Designation (PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Starting salary: $70,642 - $82,712 annually with benefits.
