Baumert hhs is recruiting for an Electro/ Mechanical Technician to fill an opportunity in Dayton, OH.
Job Summary: Tests and repairs electronic components or systems used in the manufacturing. Helps with critical manufacturing tasks to support production requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides the knowledge and technical expertise in testing and maintaining test equipment and electronic systems and components as required. Ensures quality and efficiency of all products, components and processes. Repairs or replaces defective components to ensure that installations meet conformity. Assists in the manufacturing process as needed. This includes programming and testing of various displays and controllers. Communicates effectively customers, coworkers and management. Works in a safe manner and guides others to do so as well. Suggests opportunities for continuous improvement of department. Functions as team trainer and subject matter expert as required.
Job Requirements
Skills & Experience Required: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: Associate Degree or certification equivalent preferred. One year of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient and experienced in using computer systems and software.
Must be proficient in interpreting documented procedures, bills of materials, schematics, drawings, engineering documentation, and use of various test equipment for measuring and verifying production.
Language Skills: Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions. Must be able to effectively communicate with coworkers and management.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define process or quality problems and report as necessary. Ability to read and follow detailed written instructions. Ability to manage multiple duties, establish priorities and follow through. Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management to resolve problem situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit at a work station for extended periods of time. Occasional standing and walking is required.
