Job title: CNC Tooling Production

General Description:

Manufacturing of our customer new and replacement punch tooling for their S4 and S2 Salvagnini equipment. Equipment that you will be required to use, Wire EDM machines, Sinker EDM machine, EDM drill, Automatic CNC grinders, manual grinders, and basic hand tools. Tooling is manufactured with close tolerances of +/- 0.0005”. The ability to measure and determine tooling accuracy is required. You will work closely with the 1st and 2nd shifts to manufacture and close customer orders.

Some equipment setup will be required to manufacture various tooling types. Some light mechanical repair of the machinery will be required, such as air leaks, hydraulic leaks, coolant leaks, etc. Basic preventative maintenance will be required when due, such as filter changes, cleaning up the machinery, etc.

Extended training for this position will last approximately 8 to 10 weeks. This primarily will be on the 1st shift. At the end of the training you will report to 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, 10:00pm to 6:00am. Some occasional overtime is required on Saturdays and through the week.

Company: Medium sized company of 100 employees, at the same location for 30 years, located in Hamilton Ohio just outside the I-275 belt. Climate controlled building, pleasant and clean work environment, employee 401k plan, and employee and family health benefits.

Hours 45-50 per week

Salary: $18 to $20 per hour, based on
experience + shift differential pay.

 

Work experience requirements:
• Read and interpret customer and company created mechanical tooling drawing.
• Use precision measuring tools, calipers, micrometer & dial indicator, to 0.0001” or 0.025mm.
• Basic computer experience, Outlook Email, Excel, Word.
• General CNC machine operation experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude, and use of basic mechanical hand tools.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Good communication skills.
• Good general math skills

Physical requirements:
• Be able to work on your feet maintaining production runs on machinery.
• Able to lift 75 lbs. with no restrictions.
• Good hand / finger dexterity.
• Able to work safely alone.

Minimum Personal Requirements:
• High School or GED Required
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screening

Additional applicant skills (non-required, but these candidates will be preferred)
• Wire EDM experience.
• Automatic CNC Grinder experience.
• Autocad CAD software, or other.
• Tool room experience.
• Machine shop experience
