Summary/Objective
The Landscape Foreman is responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects. The foreman is responsible for completing landscape and hardscape installations with great precision and business minded efficiency.
Essential Functions

- Supervises and manages landscape crew
- Ensures that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignment
- Participates in and conducts all job site safety briefings with crew members
- Ensures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment
- Understands and instructs crew members on proper job site security procedures
- Ensures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standards
- Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed
- Performs administrative functions pertaining to crew management
- Interacts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfaction
- Understands financial aspects of each job assignment
- Follows directions from supervisor
- Participates in all safety training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety skills
- Track and record all job expenses and hours worked accurately
- Trains crew members the development in the best practices of installation in company standards
- Direct activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating work flow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machinery
- Communicating production goals (and other items) with crew members, supervisors, and clients
- Train and promote the development of subordinates in the best practices of installation and company standards
- Monitor all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenance
- Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times

Supervisory Responsibility
The Landscape Foreman will supervise 1-8 Landscape Technicians. She/he is responsible for the below.
- Delegating tasks.
- Ensuring all company safety guidelines and regulations are followed.
- Reporting daily progress to supervisor/designer.
- Communicating job site needs.
- Assisting with proper installation.
- Identifying aspects of design that may affect irrigation, gas lines, building foundations, drainage, etc.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Schedule fluctuates Monday through Saturday. Occasional overtime may be required.
Travel
Travel for this position is rare. The maximum amount of expected travel is 10% annually.
Job Requirements
3 or more years of landscape experience
1 or more years of hardscape experience
Willing to complete a background check and drug screen
Reliable transportation to and from work
Valid driver's license with less than 4 points accumulated
