Description
Riverfront Steel, Inc., a metal services center, is seeking employees to perform the functions below for our 2nd or 3rd shift. We will train! Each shift has a maximum of 15 employees so you would not be just another face in the crowd. Our employees take pride in the craftsmanship that they learn in processing steel. Applicants must be responsible, reliable and conscientious to allow us to provide the highest level of service to our customers. Further, applicants must have basic math skills, good vision, color perception and depth perception and the ability to read and understand work instructions, measuring devices, gauges and controls. Applicants should expect to work overtime, which is usually 5-10 hours per week. Once hired, you should expect to be trained in more than one area. Our products are used in building and construction, as components in machines, at parts for roller coasters, mechanisms in large scale clocks and sun dials just to name a few of the many applications for our product.

Crane Operator - Operators must have experience operating a single and/or dual hoist overhead crane using pendant or remote.
Beam Processors - Must be able to measure and cut beams with a torch according to order specifications. Also, must be able to move beams using an overhead crane. This job is physically and mentally challenging. Applicants must be committed and responsible.
Band Saw Operator - Operators must be able to load and unload saws with an overhead crane, measure accurately with a tape measure and cut with a horizontal or vertical saw.
Oxy-fuel/Plasma Operators - Operators must load and unload burning tables and burn parts using CNC-controlled plasma and oxy-fuel burning machines.
Truck Loaders - Loaders should have experience with overhead cranes and/or forklifts, the ability to read a tape measure and a willingness to follow directions. Loaders will also grind and clean parts as needed, prepare material for shipping, and move loaded/unloaded trucks and trailers around our facility.
