Machinist/Programmer/Operator

The Machinist is responsible for ensuring Engineering and Products teams have their material on-time and within project cost objectives. As well as, working cross-functionally in other domains as needed. This position is responsible for setting up and handling tools and machinery, as well as writing programs to produce requested parts using “G” code programming. The ideal candidate will improve the machine shop processes at NuWaves and support internal/external customer requests.

Strong communication and math skills.

Ability to learn new technologies easily, including mastery of CNC Programming within one year. SprutCAM software knowledge preferred, but not a must.

Prioritize tasks based on project/product schedules by establishing credibility and working relationship with the Products and Engineering teams.

Take the lead on machine shop processes and safe practices in 60 days.

Complete internal/external customer requests on time and within budgeted cost. This requires a close working relationship with project and product managers.

Generate a working understanding of NuWaves’ business system within 60 days, with the goal of contributing to system improvements thereafter. This includes understanding the company strategy and working within NuWaves’ Quality Management System.

Can-do attitude, with a willingness to help cross-functionally, as needed.

Associate’s degree in a related field and/or 3-5 years of relative experience
