Position Summary:

Responsible to ensure equipment and systems are running at optimal levels so the production team can meet customer requirements, including completing complex maintenance projects and specialized maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with Company safety policies as well as legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Five years mechanical/machinery/facility maintenance experience required; experience in a refrigerated food processing facility preferred or a degree/certification in industrial maintenance.

Experience with material handling equipment maintenance, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic are required.

Experience with stainless steel welding preferred.

Technical certification and/or specialize certification preferred.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties:

Responsible for completing maintenance projects and specialized maintenance needs in a timely and accurate manner.

Ensure compliance with Company safety policies as well as legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Provide expert technical knowledge within role. Dismantle, install and repair parts, electrical apparatus, mechanical systems and/or components equipment and machinery. Assemble and test equipment/systems to ensure correction of necessary repairs and maintenance.

Assist in the development of preventative maintenance standards for equipment and ensure assigned associates complete tasks in a timely manner.

Assemble, install, fabricate and/or build mechanical components, systems, and/or devices in new and existing equipment.

Ensure accurate and timely documentation of maintenance records.

Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

Work with management on an on-going basis regarding workload planning and priorities, financial performance (budget and expenses) and special projects.

Assist with and/or oversee the maintenance of basic preventative, routine and corrective maintenance responsibilities.

Maintain current knowledge of regulations and laws within assigned area (i.e., OSHA, EPA, etc.) to ensure compliance.

Knowledge, Skills Abilities:

Proficiency in the use of mechanical tools required. Must have necessary mechanic tools to maintain and repair machinery and equipment.
Must be able to listen to and visually inspect machinery in order to diagnose maintenance needs.

Ability to read schematics.

Good communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate and/or document maintenance needs and status of projects.

Good organization and prioritization skills.

Ability to lead day-to-day activities and adapt to change.

Must have strong knowledge and experience with OSHA, EPA and RMP standards, regulations and requirements, and working experience with industrial equipment, building maintenance and electrical systems.

Experience with maintenance management software needed.

Equipment:
Electrical testing equipment (i.e. volt, amp, ohm meters, etc.)

Mechanical tools to include hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment's, jacks, etc.

General office equipment (i.e., computer, telephone, copy/facsimile machine, etc.)
