Maintenance Technician for Apartment Management – With Great Benefits!

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

JOB TYPE: Full-Time

JOB OVERVIEW

General maintenance of multi-residential apartment buildings, grounds, turn-over of vacant units, general property upkeep, and answering any on-call emergencies as a part of a rotation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain personal technical skills
• Supervise the services of those outside contractors involved in the physical condition of the property
• Developing and managing a preventive maintenance program that minimizes necessary repairs
• Ensure that service requests and repairs are made correctly and in a timely manner
• Ensure the vacant units are made rent ready in a timely manner
• Maintain a proper inventory of supplies and tools sufficient for providing service and maintaining the property
• Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as directed by the property management team
• Maintain relationships with other service technicians, residents and vendors
• Perform regular inspections of grounds and buildings as part of a preventative maintenance plan

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in apartment maintenance or construction field
• HVAC Certification (Type II or Universal) a plus
• EPA Certification
• Basic Residential Electrical Experience
• Basic Residential Plumbing Experience
• Carpentry
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to maintain high quality site appearance and curb appeal
• Ability to work independently; have good work ethic.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds
• Valid driver’s license required
