Mechanical Engineering Technician

An exciting hands-on position with a rapidly growing company that works to support the customer demonstration and R&D testing center. Responsible for maintaining the mechanical upkeep and cleanliness of the demo center. Will support all customer demos and require customer interaction. Assist with design and implementation of preventative maintenance plan for demo loop and engineering loop. Perform preventative maintenance on demo equipment. Assist Product Development with test setups as needed to evaluate potential new products, research new technologies, or quantify application limitations of current products. Run tests and gather data under direction from engineers. Organize and maintain testing equipment, including tools, conveyor, machines, etc.

Candidate should be pursuing a degree/certificate at a tech school or an engineering degree.
Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of mechanical processes and attention to detail is a must.
Must use hand tools and have ability to use power tools while observing proper safety procedures.
Most of day will be spent walking, lifting, climbing steps and ladders in support of demo loop and customer demos. Customer product may be heavy. Occasional strenuous physical atmosphere.
Must work well with others, especially in a team-based atmosphere. Professional appearance and attitude required for interaction with customers.
Electrical knowledge is a plus.
