Mechanical Test Technician

Position Overview

Provide machining, metallurgical and physical testing support to an independent testing laboratory that performs a wide variety of services in the determination of chemical compositions, material structures and product performance parameters.  This position requires a person with an inquisitive analytical nature that is interested in challenging opportunities in a diverse business.

Key Responsibilities

Laboratory analysis

• Provide machining of test samples.
• Provide metallurgical details on assigned product samples.
• Conduct physical testing on product samples.
• Provide training to lab technicians and others as assigned.

Education and Experience
•Minimum of High School GED, some college preferred.
•One to three years machine shop experience.
•Experience with standard laboratory equipment.

Skills and Abilities
•Proficient with Windows based PC systems, including data base management, MS Word, Excel.
