Medical Assistant

*Measure and record vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.)

*Collect and perform basic lab tests (urinalysis, hemoglobin, lipid panel, lead screening)

*Provide patient/parent with appropriate forms (i.e. registration form, developmental screening, asthma data collection form, teenage depression screening)

*Maintain exam rooms (cleaning between patients and keeping supplies stocked)

*Ensure accurate and timely documentation into the EMR; i.e. patient interview and history, vital signs, test results.

*Front office duties including but not limited to reception, telephone screening, patient check-in/check-out, payment collection, and electronic scheduling

*Maintains confidentiality of all patient and organization information, and follows HIPAA regulations regarding protection of patient information.

*Performs other position-related duties as assigned

Graduation from a certified school of medical assisting. Experience preferred but not required.
