Description
Boral Building Products looking for Night Shift Maintenance Technicians to work a 2/2/3 schedule (12 shift).
As a Maintenance Technician your are responsible to keep the machines running as efficient as possible. Help the maintenance manager see both potential and existing problems that could affect the company.
This position reports directly to the Maintenance/Tool Room Manager. Comes with great benefits, FTO vacation and 401k with match. Plus every other weekend off with 14-16 days off a month.
Job Requirements
PRINCIPAL PRODUCTION COMPETENCIES
• Exhibit knowledge of health and safety regulations, always assess safety conditions, anticipate actions and reactions, and act in safe manner, wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and perform good housekeeping practices at all times
• Conduct oneself accurately, patiently, carefully, responsibly, quickly and alertly
• Be able to follow and execute instructions, enjoy a willingness to grow while keeping The Tapco Group’s best interest a priority
• Maintain a good attendance record and personal appearance
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the tools of the position, products, quality methods, and/or technology
• Possess or create good communication skills to deliver valuable teamwork
• Communicate with all work groups any problems, trends or improvement methods
• Handle multiple activities simultaneously
• Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the production communication board
• Accomplish all routine shift assignments
• Perform corrective action for any major product line problem
• Assist with operational support when needed
• Exhibit supervisor interpersonal skills
POSITION COMPETENCIES
• Be able to listen and understand instructions
• Operate, understand, and troubleshoot ALL production related equipment in any current production process – including but not limited to extruders, grinders, laser printers, ink jet printers, color feeders, slitters, punch presses, slit/heat/form/nail tables, MRF, etc
• Work with production personnel (operators and packers) to minimize scrap.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Education – High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred
• Experience – Minimum 5 years’ experience; Electrical experience preferred, great mechanical skills, excellent leadership and facilitation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, interpersonal and written communication skills, ability to guide, teach, and communicate with others.
