Ophthalmic Technician Trainee

This is a trainee position for one who desires to become an ophthalmic technician. You will participate in a 12-week intensive training program, while also taking advantage of home study opportunities. The training will be primarily M-F, but may involve occasional Saturdays and/or evenings. Upon completion of program, you will be placed in a comprehensive tech float pool which fills short term vacancies. This provides exposure to various sub-specialties and locations. The expectation is for candidate to pass COA exam within 18 months. 

 

HS diploma.
Previous medical office experience preferred.
Must have a true desire to work with patients.
Requires patience and compassion, along with attention to detail.
Must have reliable transportation.
